Blood Donation Camp Organized by the Dolphin
Student Welfare Committee
From
time to time the Dolphin Students’ Welfare Committee (DSWC)
organized various social activities as part of its
responsibility towards students’ welfare as well as for the
benefit of society. Under the auspices of the DSWC has
organized a
blood donation
camp
in collaboration with the Uttarakhand State AIDS Control
Society (USACS) and Doon Hospital, Dehra Dun on 19th
March 2009 in its premises.Camp
was inaugurated by Mr. Arvind Gupta, Chairman & Managing
Director of the institute by donating blood. He emphasized
that despite
several advancements in science and technology; so far there
is no alternative to natural blood.More
than hundred students, faculty members and other staff
voluntarily donated blood in the camp.Uttarakhand State AIDS
Control Society has provided
Donor Cards
to all the donors and assured them that the students could get
free health services with the help of donor cards.The
students as well as faculty members fully cooperated and
assisted the team, which came from USACS & Doon Hospital. At
the end of the program, Dean, Dolphin Students’ Welfare
Committee assured that
in the future too the DSWC would hold similar camps. He
conveyed
heartiest thanks to the donors for their valuable presence and
making camp a success.

Dolphin
Declared as a Pioneer in Setting Education Standard in Uttarakhand
All of Dolphin's efforts have been awarded with a certification from the Govt. of Uttarakhand, declaring
DIBNS as a pioneer in setting Global Education Standards in the state by advising other educational institutions to follow Dolphin's
standards.

New Girls Hostel at Dolphin is now fully operational.
A spanking new
girls hostel is now fully operational at Dolphin Institute. It
can accommodate upto 300 students in a modern & healthy
environment. The hostel provides comfortable dormitories &
a homely environment that makes it a home away from home for
the students.

Health Camp
organized by the Dolphin Institute
The institute is
dedicates to the
Service of Society.
To share the pain and sorrow of the ailing people itself
living in nearby villages, where medical facilities are
vulnerable, DIBNS, organizes time to time,
Medical Camps,
which are
free of cost.Villagers
get full benefit of these camps by getting free consultation
about any ailment, medical check-ups, medicines and
physiotherapeutic aid etc. from the Doctors and Physiotherapy
interns of the institute. They are also advised to visit the
in-house OPD of the institute, if necessary. Four camps have
been organized by the institute in different villages like -
Doonga, Bidholi, Kandoli and Paundha since January 2009.Most
of the patients treated in the camps were suffering from
disorders like upper respiratory infection, anemia,
gastro-enteritis, low backache, intestinal worms,
hypertensions, skin disorders, acute and chronic bronchitis,
joint pain etc. Free medicines are being provided to the
patients.Counseling and health advice were also given
regarding hygiene and sanitation, nutrition and balanced diet,
ill-effects of smoking and alcohol abuse, child health etc. by
the interns of the institute.Approx. 1400 patients were
examined and treated in the above health camps and approx. 150
blood samples were collected from the patients for
pathological tests. About 250 patients were provided
physiotherapy services
